LUFP is offering five unpaid urban farmer internships for spring 2014. Interns will work with farm staff to plant, weed, tend, and harvest hoop house crops. Interns will also prepare outdoor fields for a season of growing and plant early crops such as onions, cabbage, radishes, and salad mix. Interns will help prepare for markets, build community outreach, and complete other farm tasks.
Qualified applicants will have strong communication skills, a desire to work as part of a farm team, willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, and the ability to perform a diverse set of farm tasks that will include lifting and carrying heavy objects.
Internships run March 14th-April 25th on Tuesday and Friday afternoons 1pm-3:30pm.
Interested applicants may submit a cover letter
and resume with contact information to Sarah at
[log in to unmask] by Tuesday, March 11th. Early applications encouraged. Questions regarding the process?
