Starting a (Food) Business 
Friday, March 14th, 1-3pm | Allen Market Place, 1629 East Kalamazoo St. Lansing, MI 48912 | Cost - Free

Allen Market Place, a project of Allen Neighborhood Center, is excited to host the first in a series of small business training opportunities. This free workshop, brought to you by Michigan Small Business Development Center, is for individuals who are considering self-employment, or are at the beginning stages of starting their business. Designed with a special eye towards starting food-related businesses, and delivered in a workshop format, this introductory session helps aspiring entrepreneurs assess their abilities to lead and manage a company, as well as evaluate market and sales potential for their products/services. The basics of business ownership are introduced, along with resources available to help launch new ventures in Michigan.
