Assistant Vice Chancellor for International Affairs

The University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus invites applications and nominations for the position of Assistant Vice Chancellor for International Affairs. The Assistant Vice Chancellor will lead the Office of International Affairs in its mission to serve strategic international goals and objectives. This position works closely with deans and campus leadership to provide strategic direction, leadership and support to further internationalization efforts and is responsible for overseeing the delivery of all international affairs functions, including Global Education (Study Abroad), International Colleges and Partnerships, the English as a Second Language Academy, Sponsor Relations, International Enrollment Management, International Student and Scholar Services and International Operations.

The person hired must have a Master’s degree in international affairs, international business, education or a directly-related field and at least seven years of progressively responsible professional international affairs experience in higher education, three years of which included the management of professional staff across multiple areas. The successful candidate will also demonstrate direct experience in working to build a more inclusive environment to attract, support and retain individuals from underrepresented groups for our faculty, staff and student populations. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and five years of additional management-level experience (in addition to the required seven years) in a related field will also be considered.

In addition to the required qualifications above, the ideal candidate will have a PhD in a related field and direct management experience in each of the major program areas listed above in the Office of International Affairs.
