*Chasing the Moon- Concert at MSU Community Music School Performance Hall*

Entitled “Chasing the Moon,” the lecture recital features pianist Haobing
Zhu, a doctoral candidate in piano performance at MSU College of Music, who
will perform five transcriptions based on Chinese traditional music.
Hoping to bridge the cultural gap between China and America, Zhu says the
audience will experience “the dynamic diversity of (the) Chinese culture …
through the great beauty of the language we all understand—music.”
This concert is made possible in part by a grant from the Arts Council of
Greater Lansing.
It will be one hour long and there is reception to follow. It is free and
open to the public.
