INTERNATIONAL VISITORS AT PAN-EUROPEAN INSTITUTE
PEI is hosting several international visitors this autumn.
Dr.
Joanna Zukowska from Warsaw School of Economics/Colleqium of World Economy, Poland was visiting 11-13 November. She gave two Studia Generalia lectures about the Polish marketing communications and innovations. Professor
Nikolay Dobronravin from St. Petersburg State University, Russia is visiting 15 November - 2 December with the purpose of advancing his research. Professor
Natalia Kuznetsova from Economic Faculty of St. Petersburg State University, Russia is visiting 26 – 29 November. She will give a Studia Generalia lecture with the topic “The St. Petersburg economy – today and tomorrow” on 28 November. Doctoral student
Mikhail Belokon from St. Petersburg State University, Russia has already arrived in September and will stay at the Institute until
the end of June 2014 with the purpose of doing his doctoral thesis about mergers

RESEARCH PROJECTS
SmartComp Research Report No 3 – Maritime sector developments in the global markets
was published in October 2013. The report gives insight on the global developments in the maritime sector and hence provides new perspectives for visioning the future
of the maritime clusters in the Central Baltic region. The report presents the recent developments and future prospects in the most important maritime clusters around the world.
