Freie Universität Berlin Announces New Part-time Executive Degree Program: China-Europe Executive Master of Business Marketing to Start in April 2014
Applications Will Be Accepted December 1, 2013, to January 15, 2014
Beginning in April 2014, Freie
Universität Berlin in cooperation with the Guanghua School of Management of the
highly regarded Peking University will be offering a part-time executive
master’s degree program, the China-Europe Executive Master of Business
Marketing (China-Europe EMBM). The 16-month program, to be taught in English,
aims to equip young European and Chinese executives and junior managers with
skills that are necessary for the marketing of products and services to clients
in both countries: knowledge of marketing and sales, fundamentals of strategy,
management, and planning. In on-site seminars in China and Germany the young
executives will acquire intercultural competence in European-Chinese business
relations. The admission requirements include a prior academic degree and at
least one year of relevant professional experience. The tuition fees are 22,000
euros.
During the last decades China has
developed into a global economic powerhouse. Many German and European companies
have close business relationships with Chinese partners. At times both sides
are faced with cultural challenges.
Faculty from the School of Business and Economics will be working closely with members of Freie Universität's Department of History and Cultural Studies and Peking University. The young executives in the China-Europe EMBM will be introduced to some of the unique features of Sino-European relations. Those who successfully complete the program are awarded a Master of Business Marketing (MBM) from Freie Universität and a certificate from the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University.
