I go by what the Computer Store website says for departmentally purchased software. There is almost always a section for Home Use Provision, with it often
being the standard “you can install this on more than one machine, provided it is run on only one machine at a time” sort of deal. I believe CS6 is of that variety if I remember right. And of course if they separate from that university or department they
have to give up that software too.

I've been looking for some policy information on whether it is allowable to install department software on a faculty members personal laptop. The case they are trying to make is that they
use their laptop all the time and so CS6 would be more available to them on their laptop. Is there a U policy regarding this? MVK
