*Announcement: IB Faculty Position at Rikkyo University*


The College of Business, Rikkyo University (Tokyo, Japan) invites
applications for a position at the nontenured assistant professor level in
international business.



Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in business or a closely related
field, with a track record or potentials of high quality research and
teaching in English. Ability to also teach in Japanese is an advantage.
Preferences will be given to those with international business and
strategic management.


Two thirds of undergraduate elective courses of the department of global
business, and all the master level courses in the Master of International
Business program, are taught in English. However, competence in the
Japanese language is desirable.



The successful candidate will teach courses on international business,
strategic management, among others, at both undergraduate and graduate
levels.



The appointment will be effective from April 1, 2014.



Salary and compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience as
determined by the university policy.



Rikkyo University, located in central Tokyo, is one of the oldest and
highly selective private universities in Japan. Its College of Business is
unique in that it is one of very few fully fledged bilingual (Japanese and
English) business programs in Japan at both the undergraduate and the

All applicants will be notified of the result of the initial screening by
email by mid December. Successful candidates will be invited to an
interview, a mock class session and a research presentation, which may take
place between mid December 2013 and mid January 2014.
