I have been using Windows Storage Server 2008 with almost no downtime for about 3 years. This is used as storage for a number of VMWare Hosts and have not no problems at all. I have been really happy. This system is now being used as a backup. I remember it locking it once after applying software updates but we have a permanent resolution this potentially serious problem. Compared with the crappy Snap Server that preceded it, it’s run almost flawlessly for the past couple years with the only reboots being for software updates, and I think it locked up maybe once.
