Hello professor Chang,
When I contacted MSU Network and Engineering Services this spring, and asked about the status of this effort, their response was not promising. While they are indeed testing some aspects of the system, recent
State budget cuts have caused them to move this far down on the priority list of upcoming projects. MSU has no resources to implement this service in the 2013-2014 academic year, and will not look at seeking additional funding or resources for it before the
start of the 2014 fiscal year.
For any local visitors to the Law College, we have an open wireless network in the building. Simply direct any visitor to connect to network “lawguest” when inside our building, and they will have free access
to wireless without having to register their laptop with the MSU network DHCP services. If you have any questions, or would like more information, please call our Help Desk at 432-9292. Thank you.

Subject: [MSUNAG] Eduroam
Some faculty member just mention about Eduroam,
https://www.eduroam.org/.
Can someone tell me more about this from MSU’s standpoint? According to Eduroam, MSU is testing. What is the time frame for this? This can be a very useful resource since most faculty members travel to other educational institutions
quite frequently and we receive many many outside visitors who need local access as well.
Thanks
James Chang
