Position Announcement

The Department of Management at the Chinese University of Hong Kong invites applications for an appointment of assistant/associate professor. We welcome applications from candidates engaged in high-quality scholarship in areas of international business, strategic management, and leadership. 

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Management or a closely related discipline. Candidates should be strongly committed to excellence in scholarly research, teaching and service. Appointment at associate professor level requires an academically qualified scholar of national and international stature. Responsibilities include publishing high-quality scholarly research, teaching management courses at undergraduate and graduate levels (e.g. MBA, EMBA), and participation in academic and professional activities. The appointee is also encouraged to apply for external funding to support research endeavors. Salary will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package.

 

The Department of Management focuses on management education and research with specific relevance to the Asia-Pacific region.  It comprises a team of academics with extensive international experience who engage in a wide range of research projects related to leadership, organizational behaviour, human resource management, strategic management, international management and entrepreneurship.  Ranked as a world leader in international business research, the Department is a founding member of the Asia Academy of Management, an academic organization that fosters management education and research in the region.  The Center for International Business Studies (CIBS) was established in 2009 to further enhance international business research of the Department.  Further information about the Department and CIBS is available at http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/mgt.
