Please note that we have organized "Globalization, change and learning in South Asia' PDW at AOM 2013 (FL). We would like to bring it to your attention.

WHERE: WDW Yacht and Beach Club Resort in Asbury A

This is an interactive PDW (in a roundtable discussion format) that focuses on exploring the changing context of the emerging South Asian economies. It poses three main questions, a) how is globalization shaping individuals, organizations and societies in South Asia, b) how South Asian economies are coping with these changes, and c) what South Asian economies can learn from other emerging and developed economies globally; as well what other countries (including developed countries) may learn from the experience of South Asia to better serve needs of their global clientele and employee base. Using a series of "roundtables", the goal of the session is to engage participants in a broader discussion of the importance of change and learning in managing globalization throughout the world. The session is organized around the forthcoming volume of Globalization, Change and Learning in South Asia (Chandos Publishing, UK) and presents a great opportunity for informed debate about the growing importance of emerging economies in international business theory and practice. The PDW is led and organized by six globally diverse scholars, including Bhatti from the UK; Khatri, Khilji, Chand from USA; Tung from Canada and Murray from Australia- with expertise ranging from frugal innovation, ethics, culture, management, learning and gender issues, however pieced around the relevance of South Asia and importance of learning globally.
