Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is looking for a
one-year Internship to support the State’s Export Program (China).
This is a paid internship based in Lansing, Michigan. Apply by May 31,
2013. Application is open on a rolling basis.
Job Title: Export Intern
Begin and end dates of employment: A minimum of one year, June 2013 to May 2014
Number of hours per week: 20-40 hours
Requirements:
1. Must be an on-campus student during the 2012-2013 school year
and work under CPT visa
2. 3rd-year undergraduate student or first-year graduate student
3. Must be well-organized and very detail-oriented
4. Must be good at following directions and complete every
assigned task in a timely and efficient manner
5. Proficient in both English and Mandarin and skilled in
written translation.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the upcoming trade mission and trade show to China
2. Maintain and update Michigan company database and record
export metrics to SalesForce
3. Research and compile data on Michigan export companies and
export opportunities in China
4. Translation of documents into Chinese or vice versa
5. Other duties as assigned
