Thanks to everyone for your suggestions.  You'd be surprised at the large number of charities out there that will take used cell phones as a donation, so I appreciate your suggestions for specific charities to narrow the field.  Considering the overall cost of a smart phone, even with a contract, I feel compelled to try to get some money back for a used phone before considering donating it.  As a tax-exempt non-profit, I'm not sure what we can claim other than goodwill when we donate such items, but I will look into it.  Again, thank you, and have a great weekend everyone.
