[image: Inline image 3] *Call For Applications* *2013 AIB Special Meeting in Moscow Russia Doctoral Student Consortium* APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 7, 2013 The conference organizers SKOLKOVO Business School and the Faculty of Management, National Research University Higher School of Economics will hold a Doctoral Student Consortium at the forthcoming Special Meeting of the Academy of International Business in Moscow, Russia from 13.00 to 17.00 on Wednesday September 18, 2013. This Doctoral Student Consortium is for advanced doctoral students interested in International Business / International Management research. The Doctoral Student Consortium is open to both students who are early in their doctoral program and for those who have already made substantial advances in their dissertation. Please indicate in your application the current stage of your research, writing, and defense of your dissertation. The purpose of this Doctoral Student Consortium is to further develop academic research in the area International Business / International Management that is focused on emerging markets with a particular interest in Russia and Eastern Europe. Sessions will be devoted to thesis development where participants will have the opportunity to present and discuss their dissertation research with faculty members. It is a great networking opportunity for doctoral students to meet some of the prominent scholars and a great networking place to link with their peers in the field. The Doctoral Student Consortium is being organized by William Newburry, Florida International University. The distinguished faculty panelists include: Igor Gurkov, National Research University Higher School of Economics Shaomin Li, Old Dominion University Ram Mudambi, Temple University Andrei Panibratov, Graduate School of Management, St. Petersburg University Torben Pedersen, Copenhagen Business School Galina Shirokova, Graduate School of Management, St. Petersburg University Gerardo R. Ungson, San Francisco State University Juha Väätänen, Lappeenranta University of Technology Oleg Vikhanskiy, Moscow State University Nan Zhou, SKOLKOVO Business School Consortium participants will be invited to a “Meet the Editors” session to meet the members of the editorial boards of leading international business journals. Interested students will need to submit an application including (1) a nomination letter from their thesis advisor with information on their dissertation progress, (2) a one page CV, and (3) a brief (one page) description of their dissertation including information about (a) research question, (b) relevant literature, (c) dependent and principal independent variables, (d) methodology, (e) data, and (f) anticipated findings and implications. The deadline for applications is May 7, 2013.
