Summer Research Forum for Young Scholars: Frontiers in International Business and Emerging Economies Research Organized by Center for International Business Studies, Chinese University of Hong Kong and Asia Academy of Management Objectives: This Forum aims at facilitating young scholars to develop high quality research in the field of international business studies, with a focus on emerging economies through engaging in intensive dialogue and interactions with experienced and fellow scholars. During this three-day forum, participants will be provided the opportunity to: * Examine and appreciate current theories and methodologies in international business studies in the context of emerging economies; * Exchange, enhance, and sharpen research ideas; and * Establish a network of researchers with similar research interests. Target participants: Young scholars who are holding junior faculty positions in research universities, with a keen interest in developing a research career in topics related to international business and emerging economies. Date & Venue: June 17-19, 2013 at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shatin, Hong Kong Program: The three-day program will feature presentations by world-class researchers on international business theories, research trends, methods, and publishing craft of international business studies, with a focus on BRIC countries. There will also be a lot of interactions among participants to share their own research papers and/or recent work in small group discussions. Feedback from senior scholars will be given during the interactions. Participants are expected to have a commitment to participate in the whole 3-day research forum. Application: All interested participants are required to send us a short resume with publications list, current research projects, plus sample research papers (already published or in progress). A 2-3 pages write-up of core research direction and ideas, and purpose of coming, and expectation from the forum are also required. A recommendation/endorsement letter or email from dean/department heads is needed. Deadline of Application: April 10, 2013.
