I'm not sure if what I'm going to say is what you are looking for, but I'm gonna say it anyway:)
MSU does provide this kind of resources. Go to MSU career services network website: http://careernetwork.msu.edu/, click on "Career Search Tools" on the right hand side. Then you have to use your MSU email to log in. Then you will see several links for career search and exploration under QUICK LOGIN LINKS. I think you may want to click on the second one CareerSearch, which is a website providing information of US companies. You can refine your search by narrowing down industries, locations, company sizes, etc. If it's your first time to use it, you need to create an account. The username, I think, should be your MSU email address without the @msu.edu part, or it may not matter at all. And you also need to come up with a password that is different from your MSU email password. After having your account, you will be able to use this resources. You can also explore all the other websites. You will have to register on some of the other websites too. And
the username is your MSU email address without the @msu.edu part, (again, it may not matter at all), the password should be different from your MSU email password.
You don't have to pay for the resources, because the university has already paid for them. That's why you have to login with your MSU email in the first place. I hope this helps.
