Dear all,

The Great Lansing Area Chinese New Year Celebration is to be held on
February 9th, from 2:00-6:00 pm in the Meridian Mall. The first of
such a scale Celebration in the Greater Lansing Area, it features
parade, performance (fashion show, singing, musical groups, Chinese
traditional music, martial arts, and much more), and a wide variety of
activities for participants to enjoy. The entrance is free.

For students, local and international, who live on campus and who are
interested in attending the event, bus transportation has been
arranged. The bus ride is also free of charge.

The bus takes 1 hour to complete 12.6 mile route, starting from the
Spartan Village Community Center, stopping at West Wilson Hall,
Butterfield Hall in Brody Complex, North Hubbard Hall and ending at
the Meridian Mall. It starts at 1:00 pm to pick up students from the
Spartan Village and ends at 6:15pm at the Meridian Mall to send
students back to campus. It keeps running back and forth between
1:00-6:15pm in the afternoon. The route can be found by following the
