Business strategies in Latin American markets

Special issue call for papers from European Business Review

With its tremendous potential for economic growth, Latin America is becoming a driving force in the world economy. Today's Latin America is both readily accessible to European companies and is being transformed into a bustling business environment. However, for those without a native, in-depth understanding of the emerging changes within today's Latin American marketplace and a grasp of the cultural implications at hand, doing business in Latin America can still be challenging for many firms.

This special issue of the European Business Review seeks theoretical and empirical studies which cover the related topics in supply chains, strategy, entrepreneurship, internationalization, enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, human resources, business networking, and marketing of business in Latin America.

Theoretical and empirical studies, including business models, business research methodologies and critical literature reviews are welcome. More specifically, manuscripts may cover the following topics: cross-country studies, competition, culture, entrepreneurship, innovation, internationalization, management, marketing, strategy and supply chain.

Papers submitted will be subject to a double-blind review process in keeping with the editorial rigor and integrity of this publication. Potential authors with queries on topic propositions and the acceptability of certain topics/subject areas should contact the co-editors directly.

The deadline for submission of papers for this special issue is March 31, 2013. Submissions should be sent electronically to either of the co-editors of this special issue:

Juan Carlos Sosa Varela, Universidad del Turabo, Puerto Rico ([log in to unmask])
or
Goran Svensson, Oslo School of Management, Norway ([log in to unmask]).

The format for submissions to the European Business Review can be found at: www.emeraldinsight.com. Those with questions about the acceptability of proposed topics are urged to contact either of the
co-editors as soon as possible.
