As it continues to expand the University now seeks to appoint further academic leaders and this offers in turn an exhilarating opportunity to senior academics from around the world to play a part in leading this unique institution's academic growth. Very generous compensation and benefits combine with the transformative chance to experience and operate in the extraordinary context of modern China to make this a compelling opportunity for highly-qualified and motivated academic leaders.
XJTLU Business School is ambitious to grow in scope and impact, with plans to increase its staff numbers to 100 by 2017. All current XJTLU Business School programmes were accredited this year by AACSB in the context of Liverpool University School of Management’s institutional accreditation. XJTLU Business School will be seeking its own AACSB accreditation, as well as EQUIS and AMBA accreditation, within the next 5 years as a demonstration of its commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and high quality research, learning and teaching. The Professoriate at XJTLU is central to the achievement of the University's academic objectives. Professors are expected to support and strengthen the academic leadership of the Business School in all aspects of the School's activity. There is an opportunity to leverage existing research strengths in the School to create either specialist or transdisciplinary research centres. An ongoing intensive recruitment campaign provides the opportunity to attract further key researchers in specialist areas allowing XJTLU Business School to develop future centres of research excellence. The PhD programme will be expanded and a new Masters in Research is being launched to provide the foundation for the PhD. The location of the Business School in the heart of Suzhou Industrial Park, and close to other major industrial centres such as Shanghai and Wuxi, provides the ideal environment for beneficial mutual exchange between business and academia.
