MANAGEMENT/ENTREPRENEURSHIP (Tenure-Track)

The Pennsylvania State University, Altoona College invites 
applications for a tenure-track position (# C-38748, rank open) in 
Management/Entrepreneurship, to begin August 2013. Applicants must 
have earned (or be in near completion of) a Ph.D. in management, 
entrepreneurship, or a related field from an AACSB accredited 
business program. The ideal candidate will have entrepreneurial or 
small business experience and have a strong interest and experience 
in teaching undergraduate students in at least two of the following 
areas: strategic management; basic management concepts; 
entrepreneurship; new venture creation; entrepreneurial marketing; 
leadership and growth of new ventures; management and organization; 
human resource management; or business ethics.

The successful candidate will maintain excellence in teaching, engage 
in an active program of scholarship that results in peer-reviewed 
journal publications, participate in service activities, and advise 
undergraduate business students. Business faculty are highly active 
and are engaged in meeting the demands of the market and their 
students through collaboration with students and faculty, the local 
business community, an entrepreneurship center, the Sheetz Fellows 
Program, student internships/research, and a high-performing chapter 
of ENACTUS (formerly Students In Free Enterprise).

Penn State Altoona is a residential campus of nearly 4000 students, 
in close proximity to the University Park campus of Penn State, and 
within easy access to many major metropolitan centers in the 
Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Penn State Altoona offers 22 
baccalaureate degrees, including a Bachelor of Science in Business 
with five option areas. The college also provides the first two years 
of course work for more than 170 Penn State majors that can be 
completed at other Penn State campuses. Collaboration in teaching and 
research across disciplines is encouraged, and class sizes are 
relatively small, allowing for a comprehensive learning experience 
combined with the high standards of a major research university. Penn
