DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS
THE GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY

The Department of International Business in the School of Business at the George Washington University invites applications for an Associate or Full Professor in International Business, to begin Fall 2013. We encourage applications from individuals who have a strong commitment to scholarly research and teaching excellence.

Basic Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D., an internationally recognized record of research and scholarship including publications on international business topics in top academic journals, with publication expectations commensurate with the applicant’s experience. Applicants must also show demonstrated teaching excellence as indicated by teaching assessments or letters of recommendation.

Rank will be commensurate with the qualifications. Salary and benefits are competitive. The George Washington University and the IB Department seek to attract an active, culturally- and academically-diverse faculty of the highest caliber.

The Department and the University: The GW IB department is one of the few freestanding IB departments in the US, with 18 full time faculty members.  In 2012, both US News and World Report and Bloomberg Businessweek  ranked GW's undergraduate program in International Business in the top 10.  In their 2010 rankings of full-time MBA programs, the Financial Times ranked George Washington University as one of the top five schools in the field of International Business.  GW also boasts a Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), providing resources for international business research, teaching, and outreach on our campus and beyond.

Our location in the heart of the nation's capital, across the street from the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, offers distinctive advantages for both students who wish to gain practical experience and faculty who wish to conduct academic research that has global implications.  Please visit the department website at www.ibusdept.com/ for additional information.

Application Procedure: To be considered, applicants must complete the online faculty application for posting 12928 at http://www.gwu.jobs/postings/12928 and upload a letter of application that identifies the field(s) and rank of interest, resume, statements covering their teaching and research records, representative examples of research and summary teaching evaluations. Only complete applications will be considered.

Review of applications will begin March 4, 2013, and continue until the position is filled.

The George Washington University is an
Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
