Researchers at the Institute for Simulation and Training at UCF and at the Institute for Cross Cultural Management at FIT are pursuing a grant on trust across cultures.  In particular, we are interested in the difference in trust conceptualizations and reactions to trust violations between the west and the middle-east.  In order to achieve a representative data sample we would like to secure some international partners in academia. We are looking for scholars in India, Pakistan, Turkey, and Lebanon that have access to student populations at an institution that has a research review board. As an international collaborator you would be asked to help us collect qualitative (e.g., Historiometric analysis) and quantitative (e.g., repeated measures lab study, longitudinal survey) data on trust.  Of course, there would be corresponding opportunities for co-authorship on publications, and we are expecting to build in around $10,000-$15,000 per year over 3 years, for a total of $30,000-45,000 in funding for each international collaborator to cover research expenses, research assistants, participant pay, etc.  At this point, we are in need of partners that can commit to the project in writing ASAP and could follow through with data collection starting in the summer of 2013 if the proposal is accepted. If you are interested, please email Dr. Jessica Wildman at [log in to unmask] for more information on the opportunity.
