Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, announces a national search for a Dean of the School of Business Administration.    The position is available on July 1, 2013.

Oakland University is located 30 miles north of Detroit, among the rolling hills and woodlands of Meadow Brook, the former Dodge Wilson estate. Founded in 1957, Oakland University is a vital, growing state-supported, comprehensive academic institution committed to excellence. With an enrollment of nearly 20,000 students, of whom 3,550 are graduate students, Oakland University delivers a broad range of arts and science majors, professional schools, and graduate programs, including 139 undergraduate and 127 graduate programs at the master’s and doctoral levels on its 1,443-acre campus.

The School of Business Administration (SBA) is one of fewer than 178 institutions worldwide (less than 5%) to hold AACSB accreditation in both Business and Accounting, assuring quality and continuous improvement in its programs, faculty and resources.  Specifically, the SBA offers eight undergraduate majors, an MBA with eight concentrations, a Master of Accounting, a Master of Science in Information Technology Management, and an Executive MBA with tracks in Health Care Management and Information Systems Leadership. The School has four departments: Accounting and Finance; Decision and Information Sciences; Economics; and Management and Marketing. There are currently 65 full-time faculty, 75 part-time faculty, over 400 graduate students and about 2,200 undergraduate students.  The SBA maintains strong ties with the local business community and other key stakeholders.
