Dean of the School of Business Administration
 
Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, announces a national search for a
Dean of the School of Business Administration.    The position is available
on July 1, 2013.   
 
Oakland University is located 30 miles north of Detroit, among the rolling
hills and woodlands of Meadow Brook, the former Dodge Wilson estate. Founded
in 1957, Oakland University is a vital, growing state-supported,
comprehensive academic institution committed to excellence. With an
enrollment of nearly 20,000 students, of whom 3,550 are graduate students,
Oakland University delivers a broad range of arts and science majors,
professional schools, and graduate programs, including 139 undergraduate and
127 graduate programs at the masteršs and doctoral levels on its 1,443-acre
campus.
The School of Business Administration <http://www.oakland.edu/sba>  (SBA) is
one of fewer than 178 institutions worldwide (less than 5%) to hold AACSB
accreditation in both Business and Accounting, assuring quality and
continuous improvement in its programs, faculty and resources.
Specifically, the SBA offers eight undergraduate majors, an MBA with eight
concentrations, a Master of Accounting, a Master of Science in Information
Technology Management, and an Executive MBA with tracks in Health Care
Management and Information Systems Leadership. The School has four
departments: Accounting and Finance; Decision and Information Sciences;
Economics; and Management and Marketing. There are currently 65 full-time
faculty, 75 part-time faculty, over 400 graduate students and about 2,200
undergraduate students.  The SBA maintains strong ties with the local
business community and other key stakeholders.
