Position in Earth and Environmental Sciences Education: Clinical Assistant Professor
The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences
at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) invites applications for a multi-year
non-tenure track teaching position. The successful candidate will teach
undergraduate courses and aid the department in developing education and
outreach activities and improving undergraduate teaching laboratories and
materials. The initial appointment is expected to be for three years, subject
to renewal based on annual evaluations, and carries the title of Clinical
Assistant Professor. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in the earth and
environmental sciences or in a closely related field; demonstrated expertise in
earth and environmental science education is highly preferred. The Department
is ranked nationally in the top 10% in terms of research activity (2010 NRC
Survey of Geoscience Departments) and hosts a diverse and growing undergraduate
