Dear Geoscience Education research colleagues!

As we prepare for a great meeting in Charlotte, make sure to take the opportunity to gather with friends, colleagues and potentially future advisors/employers and students! at the Geoscience Education Research Interest Group Reception. This gathering is jointly sponsored by the GSA Geoscience Education Division and the NAGT, and we are meeting directly before the broader Geoscience Educators reception that Heather Macdonald just reminded us about. We are even meeting in the same hotel - how convenient!

Please join us at:
Sunday, 4 November 2012: 5:30 PM-6:30 PM
Westin Charlotte Morehead Room

This is a once-a-year opportunity to meet and greet colleagues, catch up on the latest, and network with other geoscience education researchers!

Also on the table this year will the the idea of forming a Geoscience Education Research division or section within the NAGT. My Texas A&M colleague Bruce Herbert and I will gladly hear your comments on this idea and thoughts about how this could strengthen our community. We will take your feedback to the NAGT Executive Committee for consideration.

I hope to see you there - travel safely to Charlotte!

Eric Riggs
