Have an impact and be part of the creation of one of China’s and the World’s leading business schools--Nottingham University Business School China (see attached picture)--China’s first and largest Sino-Foreign University Business School.  In operation for only seven years, NUBS China currently has approximately 2,500 students of which about 250 are enrolled in masters programs. It has an international faculty of 70, coming from over 20 countries, permanently based in Ningbo and plans to grow to about 90 over the coming few years.  It is EQUIS accredited and is part of a university that is highly rated and is seeking to improve further its ranking among the world’s top research and teaching universities.  NUBS China has ambitious plans under the leadership of Dean Carl Fey to expand including increasing its focus on high quality research which makes an impact, making sure there are good links between research and teaching, focusing on interactive teaching methods, increasing interaction with business, and developing executive education. NUBS China is focused around its three Is: Innovative, international, and interactive.  NUBS China, which carries out instruction in English, is also significantly increasing its research focus and provides an excellent environment and conditions for scholars interested in pursuing an active research agenda under its outstanding researcher support system and other initiatives.

 

NUBS China is pleased to announce that it is hiring in the following areas for the Fall of 2013 (upon mutual agreement a start date in Feb 2013 may be possible):

Ningbo is located only 2.5 hours from Shanghai by car. It is a relatively high-income city for China, with a per capita income (PPP basis) of about US $12,000. Ningbo, which is a key center for entrepreneurship in China, has one of China’s largest deep-water ports, a modern airport with excellent connections to cities such as Singapore, Bangkok, Beijing, Hong Kong, Seoul and Taipei and high-speed rail connections to other major cities in China. It has international schools, excellent shopping facilities and an attractive multicultural nightlife. It also has many rivers, lakes and mountains in the outskirts and is considered to be one of the cities in China which has the best quality of life.

 

NUBS China offers European-level competitive salaries and expat benefits with reasonable teaching loads.  An attractive international benefits package including accommodation allowance, travel allowance, support for international schooling (there are three international schools in Ningbo), and insurance (including international medical insurance) will be provided for international appointments.  NUBS China also provides a competitive research support package for candidates showing good research output.  Candidates are expected to have a PhD in a relevant area by the time they start to work.  Excellent English communication skills are essential.  Candidates are also expected to have demonstrated an ability to conduct high-quality research together with strong teaching abilities.
