Dominican University's Brennan School of Business
anticipates a tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor of Management and a
tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing position beginning in
fall 2013.
The successful candidate for the management position will be
required to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in management,
organizational behavior, organizational analysis and design, and strategy.
Additional interests and/or experiences can include teaching global
business/management, preparing students for global citizenship, and engaging
students in service learning.
The successful candidate for the marketing position will be
required to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in marketing, consumer
behavior, international marketing, and marketing research. Additional interests
and/or experiences can include teaching business marketing, integrated
marketing communications and sales force management.
Successful candidates for either position will also be required
to work with faculty members and students to further the mission of Dominican
University and its Sinsinawan heritage, which emphasizes commitment to equity
and social justice.
For the management position, candidates should have either a
Ph.D. in Management or a related field from an AACSB accredited program. For
the marketing position, candidates should have a Ph.D. in Marketing or a
related field from an AACSB accredited program.
ABDs who will earn their terminal degree before August 2013 will also be
considered. Evidence of undergraduate and graduate teaching excellence and of
research interest and potential consistent with AACSB accreditation is
important. An enthusiasm for student advising along with interests in
curriculum development and innovative student learning strategies, which may
include experiences with hybrid learning formats, are also important.
