Hi, The CORE-CM ``pizza" seminars are back, see: http://www.pa.msu.edu/cmp/CORE-CM/SeminarFall2012.html The focus of the fall series is "Materials in Extreme Environments". There are two seminars on Thursday, Sept 20th *September 20* /Maik Lang (University of Michigan) / "Structural modifications in complex oxides induced by swift heavy ions" BPS 1400 at 12:00pm Pizza and cookies available at 11:45am */Special seminar 2-3pm September 20 / Seminar Room 120 NSCL/FRIB* /Marcel Toulemonde (CIMAP-GANIL) / "Track Formation and Sputtering Materials: Experiments as a Guide to Develop the Inelastic Thermal Spike Model" These seminars are part of an effort to develop synergies between MSU complex materials and the NSCL/FRIB materials focus areas.
