Just want to announce a new book has recently been published titled Businesses with a Difference: Balancing the Social and the Economic. This book is the product of a series of research on the social economy by an interdisciplinary team. Among others, it includes contributions from Ana María Peredo (The Difference Culture Makes: The Competitive Advantage of Reciprocal, Non-monetary Exchange), Roger Spear (Social Entrepreneurship: A Comparative Perspective) and Jack Quarter, Laurie Mook and Jennifer Hann (Non-financial Co-operatives in Canada: 1955-2005). This publication is edited by Laurie Mook, Jack Quarter and Sherida Ryan and is available through the University of Toronto Press.
