ASSOCIATE / FULL PROFESSOR IN BUSINESS STRATEGY
The Melbourne Business School (MBS) is seeking to appoint one new faculty member in the field of Business Strategy for the position of Professor or Associate Professor. We will also consider individuals with at
least three years of academic experience for the position of Assistant Professor, but preference will be given to candidates eligible for the rank of Professor or Associate Professor. This position would be a full-time appointment involving teaching, research
and administrative responsibilities, and would be either tenured or tenure-track depending on the applicant’s qualifications.
MBS (www.mbs.edu) is an internationally-ranked graduate business school based in Melbourne Australia, and is affiliated with the University of Melbourne. The school is jointly
owned by the University and a ‘not-for-profit’ trust, and has delivered the University’s MBA program since 1963. Across our various postgraduate business programs, the school has approximately 690 enrolled students, and its premier product, the fulltime MBA
program, has been ranked first in the Asia-Pacific region by the Economist magazine in each of the last three years and is ranked 46th globally by the
Financial Times. The school also prides itself on its publication record and offers a first-rate research environment. The school’s executive education programs are also very active and highly ranked. The MBS is located one kilometre north of the heart
of Melbourne, a city rated highly for its living quality, schools, arts and cultural environment. MBS offers an internationally competitive compensation package, an attractive teaching load, and excellent research and travel support.
Applicants must have a Ph.D., a record of publishing in top academic journals commensurate with the level of appointment sought, and an excellent teaching record (experience teaching in MBA or EMBA programs is
a plus).
