The
Department of International
Business of HEC Montréal invites applications for multiple faculty
positions at
all levels, tenured and tenure track, starting in June 2013. We
especially
encourage applications of candidates in international strategy and
international finance, but all areas of international business will be
actively
considered. The successful candidates will be engaged in high-quality
teaching
and research on the practical challenges that companies face in the
global
economy. The positions are subject to budgetary approval.
About the School: Founded in
1907, HEC Montréal (www.hec.ca) is one
of the oldest and largest business
schools in North America. The School
has over 12,000 students
in its 38 management study programs, from the undergraduate to
postgraduate
levels, and employs close to 260 professors. It was the

About the International Business Department: The
Department of
International Business (www.hec.ca/affint)
consists of 15 full-time professors from diverse disciplinary
backgrounds that share
a common interest in the exploration of international business in the
context
of globalization and emerging economies. The Department offers a broad
selection of courses in international business, offers an international
business major at the B.A.A. level, a M.Sc. in international business,
and an
international business major at the Ph.D. level.
Job Qualifications: Candidates
should hold or should
anticipate completing a Ph.D. in international business or a related
field by
June 1, 2013. Candidates for associate or full professor should have an
established record of quality research and teaching while candidates
for
assistant professor should be promising scholars. Successful candidates
will be
expected to publish research in major journals and to teach
high-quality
graduate and undergraduate courses.
Courses at
HEC Montréal
are primarily taught in French, with a growing number of courses also
given in English
and Spanish. The School’s inception program provides excellent support
to learn
French in order to become fluent within two years. The School has
top-tier teaching
and research facilities. Research publication is financially rewarded.

Pozzebon and Ari Van Assche will conduct interviews at the Academy of
Management meetings in Boston (August 2-7, 2012). To
