Call for Encyclopedia Articles

Wiley Encyclopedia of Management 3rd edition, Vol. 6: International Management

We would like to ask for your help with the Wiley Encyclopedia of Management 3rd edition. This reference work is an update of the successful Blackwell Encyclopedia of Management 2nd edition. The aim of the new edition is to provide concise, up-to-date, and authoritative explanations of key terms and concepts. This reference work will be fully accessible on-line.

Deanne Den Hartog from the University of Amsterdam and I have been asked by Wiley to edit the volume on International Management. However, given the breadth of the field, we cannot do the work alone. For this reason, we would like to ask you to contribute one or more articles in your area of expertise. All entries will carry the author’s name above the entry.

There will be three types of articles in the Encyclopedia: long (3,500 words), medium (1,500 words) and short (250-500 words) articles. Below is a list of entries for which we are still looking for contributors. If you feel qualified to write one or more of these articles and would like to contribute to the Encyclopedia, please go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Wiley_Encyclopedia_International_Management and place a check mark next to the entries which you are interested in. Also, you may want to consider co-authoring articles with one or more colleagues or doctoral students.

While we cannot guarantee that you will get the entry of your choice, we will make every effort to consider your willingness to contribute. If we select you for a given entry, you will receive a formal invitation from Wiley. The invitation will also include further instructions about how to submit your manuscript. We would be thrilled if you accepted the invitation. Your contribution would have to be submitted by the end of June to a ScholarOne manuscript management site.

In general, we would like authors to follow the following format for their articles: definition – state of knowledge – current significance – future trends and applications. Also, since this is a volume on international management, articles should reflect international aspects of their respective topics.

Deanne and I would greatly appreciate your help with this effort.

Best regards,
