Edwards Symposium on Mergers and Acquisitions Symposium Announcement & Call for Papers Saskatoon, Saskatchewan August 24 - 26, 2012 Centre for Strategic Financial Management & Department of Finance & Management Science Edwards School of Business University of Saskatchewan We invite scholars, policy makers, and practitioners to submit research papers for presentation at the 3rd Edwards Symposium on Mergers and Acquisitions. Theoretical and empirical papers in all areas of mergers and acquisitions (or business investments in general) with implications to finance, accounting, entrepreneurship, or strategy, including papers with an international focus, are welcome. There is no charge for submission, and all submitted papers will be peer reviewed, with twelve top quality papers to be included in the symposium program. All accepted papers will be made available on the symposium website (www.edwards.usask.ca/csfm). The symposium is sponsored by the Centre for Strategic Financial Management at the Edwards School of Business, and will be held at the Delta Bessborough Hotel located in the heart of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The Bessborough is located at 601 Spadina Crescent East, approximately 7 km from the John G. Diefenbaker International Airport (YXE) in Saskatoon. Paper submission process: All papers must be emailed (in PDF format) to the symposium organizing committee [log in to unmask] Please send complete papers as submissions with abstracts only will not be considered. Please include a title page with author information, including contact details of the presenting author. This information will be removed before the papers are sent out for review. The paper submission deadline is April 30, 2012, with notification of acceptance by June 15, 2012. Travel and Accommodation: All participants are expected to make their own travel arrangements. The symposium registration fee is $300 for attendees and their guests, (which includes a reception on Friday evening; breakfast, lunch, and supper on Saturday; breakfast on Sunday; and a group activity on Saturday afternoon).
