We have had our servers in the co-lo for about 2 years now and had no problems. We have over 10 departments connecting to our storage server in the co-lo. They have been great to work with and over the last few months have moved to their Virtual firewall for the Natural Science Building and Co-Lo servers. We have not had any downtime and you can’t beat the network speed because we have 10GB coming to the main switch and 1GB to each server. The network has been solid as a rock.

Subject: [MSUNAG] Questions about Colocation at AIS

I am curious as to experiences folks have had using this service. How is the network performance? What happens in terms of network / firewall configuration? Is that managed by AIS as well? Also, I assume We could put the bulk of our servers at AIS, but also maintain a NAS and backup PC to run virtual machines from our office In case of AIS downtime?

Are there any aspects of the service you have found inconvenient or limiting?

Thanks for any info,
