Academy of Management Africa Conference

The Academy of Management Africa Conference will be held January 7-10, 2013 at the Gordon Institute of Business Science in Johannesburg, South Africa.  The purpose of this conference is to bring Africa’s unique capabilities and needs to the attention of the world’s organization and management scholars and at the same time, to provide an opportunity for interested colleagues to collaborate and work on the many interesting theoretical and practical problems presented in Africa. 

The Call for Submissions for the Academy of Management Africa Conference is now available for download at: http://aom.org/africaconference . Papers and symposia that pertain to one of the conference track themes listed below are welcomed through May 15, 2012.

Conference track themes:

·         Navigating Institutions: Business, Government, and Civil Society

·         Emerging Market Firms and MNCs: Characteristics and Global Aspirations

·         Base of the Pyramid: Emerging Market Consumers, Workers, and Managers

·         Cultural Diversity and Transformational Societies

All submissions must be made via the Academy of Management’s submission system. Submitters are advised to carefully review the submission guidelines and procedures. Submissions that do not follow the guidelines or are incomplete will not be reviewed. The deadline for all program submissions is May 15, 2012 at 5:00 PM ET (New York time).
