All:

We have an opening for an instructor here at MSU to manage our non-science majors "Humans and the Environment" labs and teach courses. The position is housed in our Center for Integrative Studies in General Science. I oversee Educational research for the Center, and am excited at the possibilities that this new position has for cutting-edge instruction and educational research collaboration. In particular, the labs have recently been revised to engage students in studying our campus river; emerging data suggest students are gaining exactly the appreciation for science and understanding of the nature of science that we would like to see from a non-majors lab.

Although the position is not a tenure-stream line, it is the next best thing. Please encourage your students and post-docs to apply and feel free to email if you have any questions. I would appreciate it if you would forward this to any appropriate listserv or colleague.

Take care,
Julie
