You are cordially invited to submit papers for presentation at this conference, which brings together academic researchers, practitioners, and policy makers to discuss an array of topics
affecting the western hemisphere in today’s global business world. The conference is sponsored by Texas A&M International University, the A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business, and the Center for the Study of Western Hemispheric Trade, in conjunction with Universidad
Regiomontana’s School of Business. The 2012 conference will take place on the campus of Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas, USA.

Papers are invited on any topic related to the general theme of the “Western Hemisphere: Common Problems, Contending Approaches.”
All participants must submit their work electronically to [log in to unmask].

Graduate students and non-academic affiliates are welcome. Submissions imply that at least one author will register for the conference and be present at the time designated
in the conference program. Research-in-progress will be accepted.

Please send a MS Word file of either the
complete paper or abstract (200 words maximum) by February 24, 2012
for inclusion in the conference. Complete papers will be considered for inclusion in the electronic proceedings.
Each submission must include a cover page containing only the title of the research with information about the author(s).
