Although innovation plays a central role in the global battle for technological leadership, understanding of the forces shaping the development and commercialisation of new products and services remains incomplete. In his lecture, Mario will focus on the factors influencing the success of innovative efforts, and will further demonstrate how firms can unlock their economic potential by combining globally dispersed (external) resources within one organisation. Mario Kafouros is a Professor of International Business and Innovation, and Director of Research for International Business (Leeds University Business School). His work has received strong recognition in the form of Best Paper Awards, funding from research councils, government organisations and multinational companies, and publications in leading international journals.
