I think the default first retry is after a 4hr delay.

I had to take down an email server last night for maintenance and had it back up by 6:00 AM but noticed that the auto-forwarded email from mail.msu.edu did not arrive until 9:00 AM.  Evidently there must be a delay included in the email retry function, but for future reference, does anyone know what the delay is as a function of the time that the email has been undeliverable?
