Call for Cases

 
AIB-LAT CASEBOOK on "Internationalization, Innovation & Sustainability of MNCs in Latin America" Abstract submissions by January 20, 2012The Latin-American Chapter of the Academy of International Business is pleased to announce the first call for cases for the 2012 AIB-LAT CASE TRACK to be published in a casebook by Palgrave Macmillan (http://www.palgrave.com).  The AIB-LAT Casebook will deal with the issue of Internationalization, Innovation and Sustainability of MNCs in Latin America and all accepted cases will be presented in the Case Track at the AIB-LAT Conference in Miami at Florida International University on April 20-21, 2012, and later on in the year published in the AIB-LAT CASEBOOK by Palgrave Macmillan.  
 
Evaluation criteria: All submissions will be subject to a two-step double blind review process and full cases should be written in English and not exceed 20 pages (excl. annexes). The reviewers will pay particular attention to: concept and content, topic relevance and its ability to create a learning experience, the style of writing, quality of presentation and clarity of data. All cases must be original, unpublished and not under consideration with any other publisher or case-centre.  
 
Requirements
 
: The case studies and associated material should focus on real cases of multinational companies operating in the Latin American region and at least one of the following concepts: internationalization, innovation and sustainability, or any model, framework or concept directly related to any of these. Cases focusing on Internationalization, Innovation and/or Sustainability developed from any relevant framework are welcome (International Business, Management, Strategy, Marketing, Finance, etc.)  
 
Submissions: The first submission consists of a 500-word abstract of the planned case to be submitted electronically (word file format) to [log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask] with a letter addressed to Dr. Sergio Garcilazo Lagunes by January 15. Once the abstract of the case has been accepted, the full case and a teaching note should be sent to the same address by February 20.  
 
Important Dates:
January 15, 2012: deadline for abstract submissions
January 20, 2010 first-round decision
February 20, 2012: full-case submission

February 28, 2012 final-round decision
