*ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT (Tenure Track position)*

*Candidate profile*

Applications are invited from individuals with strong research and 
teaching interest in strategic management who strive for academic 
excellence. Applicants should have recently completed their PhD with a 
focus on strategic management, or expect to complete it by August 2012. 
The primary selection criteria will be academic track-record, research 
potential, teaching capabilities, and strong recommendations. For 
foreign applicants, the only language requirement is fluency in written 
and spoken English.

*Position*

The applicant is expected to develop a state-of-the-art research program 
with international visibility. The teaching load in this position is 
negotiable but is planned to include two courses per year. In addition, 
the tasks are planned to include participation in Master's thesis 
supervision as well as contributing to the doctoral program and other 
research, teaching, and outreach activities. The starting date for the 
position is expected to be September 2012 (alternative starting date is 
negotiable). Salary is competitive at the European level and initial 
research funding will also be provided.

The position is located at the Institute of Strategy (a part of the 
Department of Industrial Engineering and Management), which consists of 
six professors and about 40 researchers, including PhD students. In 
terms of research output in top-tier journals, the Institute of Strategy 
has in recent years been among the most productive strategy units in 
Europe. Active research at the Institute covers a broad set of topics 
including corporate strategy, corporate ventures, high-growth 
entrepreneurship, venture capital, industry evolution, innovation 
management, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic renewal. The
