I believe that the effort to "Go Google" was also influenced by 
Michigan's IT centralization effort...  I say this because I just 
started working in UM-ITS, and centralization of campus IT has been a 
major focus here.

And to answer a question from earlier in the thread, not all units have 
really jumped onto all of the efforts yet.  Eventually they likely will, 
but the Health System and MCIT are going to do things when *they* are 
good and ready.
