The Barney School of Business is now accepting applications for one full-time tenure-track position in Macro Organizational Behavior at the Assistant Professor rank to begin August 2012. Applicants with competency or interest in global issues and on-line teaching are especially encouraged to apply.

The Barney School of Business enrolls over 1,200 students in six undergraduate majors and its MBA and Master of Science in Accounting and Taxation programs. The school has 39 full-time faculty members and is accredited by AACSB-International. The mission of the School is to create a student-focused learning environment that prepares men and women to become leaders and decision makers who are globally aware and socially responsible. Faculty teach three courses per semester, and are expected to demonstrate evidence of excellent teaching, to be active scholars who publish regularly in peer-reviewed journals, and to participate in service to the department, college, university and greater community.

A Ph.D/DBA in Management or equivalent discipline from an AACSB accredited university is required (ABD’s with significant progress will be considered if completion of the degree is achieved by June 2012). Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, show scholarly research potential, and show a commitment to helping advance the intercultural competence of our students and to contribute to diverse communities.

 

Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. All applicants will be notified of receipt of materials. The search committee will conduct video interviews (through Skype or WebEx) with a short list of candidates prior to making decisions about on-site visits. All applicants will be notified when the search is concluded.

 

Interested candidates should submit a letter of application describing your interest and qualifications for the job, current curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching ability, evidence of scholarly productivity, and 3 signed letters of reference (official transcripts will be requested only from finalists for the position).
