I am interested in the usable bandwidth benefits of a 4G phone like the
Droid Bionic vs a 3G(+) phone like the iPhone 4S. I did some testing with a
loaned Verizon 4G MiFi and found that the area from the Lansing's Capital
Building to Meijer in Okemos and north to Haslett Road is typically capable
of 4-5Mbps download and 5Mbps upload. Going northwards the bandwidth drops
of quite quickly and stops being useful around the middle of Green road.
The bandwidth drop off due to being in a campus building like Erickson Hall
on is very substantial and leaves barely any 4G bandwidth available.

Does anyone have other experience or tests related to 3G or 4G bandwidth
availability in the Lansing area?
