Multiple Faculty Positions in International Business Institute of International Business J. Mack Robinson College of Business Georgia State University Atlanta, GA GEORGIA STATE UNIVERSITY invites applications for multiple tenure track faculty positions (rank open and we expect to hire at the assistant, associate and/or full professor levels). These positions require an earned doctorate from an AACSB-accredited institution or similarly accredited international institution. Successful applicants will have strong research and teaching capabilities in international business and related areas. Candidates at the assistant professor level should demonstrate a high potential for publications in the leading scholarly journals. Candidates at the associate and full professor levels should have an excellent research and teaching record primarily in international business including a strong and current publication record in the leading scholarly journals, an international reputation, and a demonstrated ability to develop and work with others in defining and conducting meaningful research and mentoring junior faculty. Exceptional candidates who are eminent scholars with international reputations may also be considered for appointment to a chair or professorship. These positions will enhance the research capability of the Institute of International Business (IIB) which was recently designated as a national resource center in international business (CIBER) by the U.S. Department of Education. Senior scholars hired for these positions will play leadership roles in the IIB and in our newly established CIBER. Although the interests and activities of IIB and our CIBER are broad, and each of these scholars will bring a different combination of strengths to the portfolio we are seeking to enhance with these hires, one senior position is designated for a China Business Scholar. Partially funded by the University's Second Century Initiative, this particular position will further strengthen the interdisciplinary focus on Chinese studies at Georgia State University. The Robinson College of Business is located in the heart of a vibrant, dynamic international community which includes a growing number of US and foreign firms' headquarters, a strong consular corps and many other government agencies. The Institute of International Business has a diverse, collegial faculty. The Institute interacts frequently with other academic departments for multidisciplinary teaching, research and executive education activities. The Institute is a degree-granting unit of Robinson College, offering core and elective courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, a major in the College's highly-ranked MBA program and a Master's of International Business.
