The University of Redlands & the East-West Center cordially invite members of the Academy of International Business community to a symposium on "Asia-Pacific Trade, Cultural Flows, and Social Dynamics," held in anticipation of the 2011 APEC Summit in Honolulu. The symposium will take place on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 on the campus of the University of Redlands, Redlands, CA.
* All-day symposium on trade relations and cultural exchanges among the nations of the Asia-Pacific region, with special focus on the United States and East Asia
* Sessions led by distinguished university faculty from across the country
* Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC): Prospects for Trans-Pacific Integration
* Labor Relations and Corporate Practice across the Pacific
* Asian Cultural Exports: Traditional Aesthetics and Modern Media
* Food Safety Across the Pacific
* Luncheon keynote speech on “China in the American Imagination” by Jeffrey Wasserstrom of UC Irvine
* Cultural performance by the classical Indian dance ensemble Rangashree Dances of India
* Registration covers all sessions, light breakfast, lunch, and refreshments throughout the day ($25 through September 14; $35 thereafter)
