The HVAC<http://pp.msu.edu/index.cfm/welcome-to-the-maintenance-services-department-at-the-msu-physical-plant-division/central-control/> group that monitors that stuff is part of our department. Does the closet have its own heating and cooling? I think that makes a difference. We also have the Commissioning<http://pp.msu.edu/index.cfm/maintenance-commission/> department that checks the efficiency of the HVAC in buildings. Maybe one of these groups could answer your questions. http://pp.msu.edu/index.cfm/welcome-to-the-maintenance-services-department-at-the-msu-physical-plant-division/central-control/ http://pp.msu.edu/index.cfm/maintenance-commission/ Chris Doerr [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> (517) 353-4777 Physical Plant Hotilne (517) 432-0225 voice From: Vasquez, Timo [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Monday, August 29, 2011 9:13 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [MSUNAG] Communications Rooms.... Who is the authority on temperature and humidity guidelines on CAMPUS. If i have a telecom closet with no windows and built in the middle of a floor so you can walk around it completely; its constructed of plywood and covered with drywall. What should the operating temperatures be consistently. I have found 98 degrees F. on Friday and today I found 87. From my experiences this kind of temperature is bad for long term exposure on the mission critical gear in there. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
