The Centers for International Business Education and Research (CIBERs) at the University
of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Hawai’i at Manoa will host the Southeast Asia Faculty Development in International Business (FDIB): Vietnam January 2-14, 2012 in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. This FDIB will provide participating faculty
from institutions of higher education throughout the United States with a greater understanding of the business practices, economic policies, legal and political structures and cultural environments of Vietnam. The program will focus on the unique aspects
of doing business, comparing and contrasting the different business environments of the north and the south. The intended audience is faculty interested in incorporating Asian business content into their curriculum and/or research activities. We hope you will
consider this opportunity for yourself and/or encourage colleagues with an interest in Southeast Asia to apply.
The registration fee of $2750 includes hotel accommodations (based on double occupancy), airfare from HCMC to Hanoi,
ground transportation, breakfast, most lunches, site visits, a closing dinner and a Mekong River Delta tour. Participants or their sponsors are responsible for RT international airfare, most dinners, incidentals, passport and visa fees.
Applications are being accepted and approved on a rolling basis until the deadline of Friday,
September 30, 2011 (9:00 a.m. CDT). Space is limited to approximately 20 participants. Please note that the 2009 and 2010 Vietnam FDIB programs had wait lists and not everyone could be accommodated.
